And so begins my love affair with felt...

So you may or may not remember me posting about this seller on Etsy who makes lovely little felt creations that I fell(t) in love with. Well one night, after a few drinks at happy hour, I finally found a little time to let my creative juices flow. Note to self: drinking and sewing don't mix. Neither do sewing while watching TV after drinking. But I think it's cute for a first attempt

So I started with this bag - $1.99 at Goodwill.

And after a little washing, ironing, (drinking) and sewing had this:

So it's all cattywompous (okay, how would you spell that?) and not centered and I really needed pinking shears and I had never sewn on felt before and it was cheap 5 for $1 felt, so I had a multitude of issues I was dealing with. But it's kinda cute? Maybe? Eh, okay, not so much. I was going to use this as my new diaper bag for the summer. But I guess I'll be working on another little felt creation to go on it instead. Oh well...several lessons learned.
