Bothered by my Green Conscience - Giveaway!

Did I mention that I won the book Bothered by my Green Conscience from Michelle over at the Green Phone Booth last week? I think it's the very first thing I've ever won. Yay me! And thanks to Michelle! I received the book a few days ago (in a reused envelope, natch) and finished it in just a few hours between changing diapers and cooking dinner.

Artist Franke James created (and you have to see it to understand the why I use "created" instead of "wrote") this book to encourage others to concur some of the tough aspects of going green. She and her husband didn't start by just changing light bulbs and using cloth grocery bags. They sold their car and fought the city to be able to turn their driveway into a garden!

The book is thoughtful and witty and aesthetically pleasing. It's a very quick read, yet chocked full of many ideas and concepts that you'll find yourself pondering for a long time after you finish reading it.

Finally, this book is ready for a new home! Leave a comment here and I will pick a winner on Monday, August 10th.

I would love to read it! And we're in CO, so it would have way fewer travel miles than if someone far away wins it!! It could be a low-carbon contest if I'm the winner...

That book sounds so great! I am truly inspired by your thoughts on a better way of living. Just found your blog, and I'm looking forward to reading more of it! I recently got married and I want to live greener, especially once we start having kids (SOON, hopefully!) Keep up the great writing!
