Oh, boy. My husband and I talk about this often since giving up meat for lent. Isn't fish meat? It is to us, but I see lots of people eating it for Meatless Monday. I'm slightly confused by this. I think my husband is seriously considering becoming vegetarian. It is a strange domain for me, full of questions. I don't have any vegetarian friends to observe or ask questions, so I'm not sure what is proper protocol. Like, do vegetarians wear leather? Or, is it just the consumption of meat they're concerned with? Silly, meat-eater questions I know, but it's like the blind leading the blind here!
I'm no vegetarian either but, to me, it seems that anything with a face would be off limits.
As for leather, I know vegans would be against wearing it, but I've definitely seen my share of vegetarians wearing leather. I guess it's a personal decision that probably depends on why you've chosen to go veg...?
The blind leading the blind is okay! In my own (very humble) opinion, it allows you to make decisions based upon what is personally important to your family.

That's hilarious! Have you read the book, "Eats, Shoots and Leaves"? It's all about funny grammar and signs...this post reminded me of it :)
