Giveaway Monday: Clairvoyant Beauty products

Let's just pretend it's still Monday because it's been one of those weeks already and it's only Tuesday, er, I mean "Monday"...yeah that's right. Anyway...have I got a great giveaway from Clairvoyant Beauty today to make up for my tardiness!

Clairvoyant Beauty is a skin care products company whose mission is to "...give you the healthiest, most radiant skin possible - naturally & simply." Owner Lexie Masterson (sister to actress Mary Stuart Masterson) learned about natural skin care from her grandmother Josephine who worked with her side by side creating natural products in her kitchen.

Now, I have to say that I'm always a bit hesitant to review products that claim to be natural and those that come packaged in plastic. In fact, I've turned many down over the years. The things that caught my attention about Clairvoyant are 1) their products are made here in the US, 2) they use recycled materials in their packaging (bottles and cardboard), and 3) they use "only Natural and Organic sources for our ingredients so that there are no potentially harmful chemicals or antibiotics present."

With other companies, they slap "natural" on the label and expect it to appeal to eco- and health-conscious consumers. Meanwhile, the products are manufactured in another country, packaged in virgin plastic, wrapped in more plastic, and they use chemicals that I don't really want on my skin.

This is how my package arrived. Recycled box, no plastic packaging...

I've been using the Exfoliating AHA Scrub, Cucumber Facial Toner (love the smell of this), Rosewater Eye Cream and the Simply Roses Cream moisturizer for a few weeks now and love how gentle and hydrating they are. The climate here in Colorado is always pretty dry but as soon as October hits it just seems to suck every last drop of moisture left from my skin. These products have nourished my skin without making it oily or clogging my pores.

The little messages printed backwards on the bottles also make me smile...

"If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere." ~Vincent Van Gogh

If you'd like to try some of Clairvoyant's products for yourself, you can now do so at a 20% savings using the coupon code "Greenhab" at check out. A set of these products would make a fantastic, green Christmas gift, or buy a few individual pieces to stuff in stockings.

I'm also giving away a Detoxifying Clay Cleanser with DMAE, a Nourishing Meadowfoam Facial Serum, and a Skin Rejuvenating AHA Cream. Just go to http://www.clairvoyantbeauty.com/ and have a look around, then come back and tell me which product you'd like to see under your tree (or Hanukkah bush) this year. A winner will be drawn at random on Saturday, November 13. Please leave me a way to get in touch with you, or be sure to check back to see if you've won! And for bonus entries, share this with friends on Facebook or Twitter.

{Required disclosure: Clairvoyant Beauty provided me with samples to use for this review. They did not compensate me in any way or require a positive review in exchange.}

I'd like to try the facial serum. Baby #2 will be here in January, so with the winter facial blahs and postpartum chubbiness the serum could be a lifesaver...or at least make me look and feel "fresher"!

Please Santa, I want/need the Skin Firming DMAE & MSM Serum for my wrinkles! Getting older is fine, as long as my face doesn't have to show it all!

I think the facial serum would be great for my skin, but with three young boys and always feeling tired the depuffing eye gel might be nice too. This stuff looks awesome!

I'd love to try the Skin Firming DMAE & MSM Serum. Previously, I worked up my courage to try another facial product that was too harsh, and ended up reacting to it, leaving me with darker areas of skin tone. I'm hoping this would help with that.

I would love to see the Fabulous Facial Cleansing Oil. I've been reading a lot about using oil on the face rather than soap, but I haven't had the courage to try mixing my own. This would be a great way to start!

I think the whole line looks good. I am especially intrigued by the clay cleanser and the cucumber toner-that sounds refreshing.
