I saw the sweetest little birdie gift tags - or were they ornaments? - last year. I can't remember now, but I do know that the cuteness factor was outta control. Of course, I couldn't find them again this year (If if was on your blog, speak up!) but I did find a great template by going to Google Images and using the search term "bird ornament".
I made a bunch from pages of an old hymnal and added a glittery wing. (I might be in love with Martha Stewart's line of glitter - totally worth the splurge!) I also made a few from scrapbook paper. Distress the edges with ink and you've got some great little holiday gift tags.
I took the top wing off of this guy and made him double-sided so he could be a tree ornament or hang elsewhere.
I think I'm wrapping gifts in brown craft paper this year. I ordered something from Amazon a few weeks ago and when it came it was in a box 10 times its size with miles of this brown paper as padding (better than plastic I suppose). The kids used one piece to draw a map from our house in the mountains to Denver~
I love their little minds.

These are adorable! You are so creative.
I love getting that paper in my shipments. It comes in quite handy throughout the year. I use a lot of mine as weed block in the garden.

This is a great way to recycle your Christmas cards too. Use the front side of pretty cards that arrive in the mail.
