Introducing...My So Called Green Life

When I started this blog several years ago I had no idea what I was doing. Was it obvious? We knew we were living in a manner that was not sustainable and we wanted to change that. Eventually the Greenhab title was claimed (green + rehab = greenhab) but my URL was stuck at kelliebrown.blogspot.com.

Over the past (almost) 4 years I've had over 40,000 visits from 111 countries! Some as interesting as Rwanda, Qatar and Isle of Man. (Hello! Why didn't someone tell me about the Isle of Man earlier???)

But there came a point when we weren't making great big changes anymore and Greenhab no longer seemed like a fitting title when I was posting more about upcycled crafts than going solar.

After much thought, brainstorming with Mr. Greenhab (eek - what will I call him now?) and advice from friends I settled on My So Called Green Life as a place to chronicle our day-to-day life. What do you think? We still plan on making the big changes from time to time -- and hopefully many small ones too -- but I wanted a place to write about the little green choices we make as well.

So be sure to bookmark http://MySoCalledGreenLife.com (although kelliebrown.blogspot.com will forward there) and join me for even more mundane ramblings about my thrift store finds, crazy recipes, green lessons for the kids, upcycled craft projects and more.

Hey Kellie, site looks great! Any suggestions on recycled/reclaimed teak or ipe flooring? I was wondering had any suggestions. I'd like to reuse rather than buy anything that's new milled. Thanks!

I like following peoples day to day lives. Not everyone has the ability to install solar or go off the grid, but they can make little changes. Even the little changes add up and can make a difference.

I think your upcycled crafts are fabulous by the way. I have updated my bookmark for you and look forward to seeing your new site evolve.

I love it! I think we started blogging around the same time and I changed my blog name a couple months ago for similar reasons. I was no longer on a green journey trying all sorts of new things. I had found some things - in the green realm - that really worked for me and realized some "green" things didn't. Look forward to the new you! :)
